Roles and Responsibilities

  • Keeping up-to-date with alterations to immigration laws.
  • Meeting with prospective and extant clients to gauge which services they require.
  • Providing clients with all pertinent documentation.
  • Assisting clients with the completion of paperwork, and ensuring that this is submitted on time.
  • Verifying the authenticity of paperwork and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with foreign national candidates and hiring managers, obtain visa, work permit, and residency status documents
  • Perform pre-screening, and participate in interviews, job previews, and job offers
  • Complete work permits and visas for new hires, ensuring all required forms and documentation are submitted
  • Document all immigration-related information to maintain accurate records
  • Discussing career and educational goals with students.
  • Aiding in the course selection process to ensure progress towards student goals.
  • Displaying an interest in student development.
  • Identifying student strengths and weaknesses.
  • Maintaining updated reports on student progress.
  • Intervening if behavioural or academic abnormalities occur.
  • Connecting students with resources, such as counsellors or tutors.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of institutional policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Education, Counselling).
  • Knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and academic systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advisory skills.
  • Familiarity with academic program offerings, admissions processes, and educational institutions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Legal background or certification in immigration counselling is a plus.
